Future Space Markets
Details
Space exploration has captured the imagination and
dreams of many scientists, engineers
and visionaries. It has become a symbol of human
ability to break the boundaries of sci-
ence and technology; and now business
boundaries.Commercialisation of space technology will
bring benefits to
society in the areas of, environmental protection
(e.g. climate change), disease prevention
(e.g. osteoporosis) and technological innovation. ISS
commercialisation will allow private
companies to develop and test their products.
This research investigates the opportunities for the
development, selection and implemen-
tation of collaborations between space agencies and
commercial partners to market ISS
products and services and will describe and predict
strategic and market developments for
ISS commercialisation. As today''s ISS
commercialisation can become the basis for tomorrow''s
partial commercial
exploitation on interplanetary space missions.
