Fuzzy Transportation Problem of Trapezoidal Numbers: It's Optimization

Transportation models play an important role in logistics and supply chain management for reducing cost and improving service. Fuzzy transportation problem is aimed to find the least transportation cost or the least time required for transportation of some goods through a proper network to map the supply and demand of various nodes. The transportation problem is one of the subclasses of linear programming problems. Transportation models have wide applications in logistics and supply chain for reducing the cost. Many algorithms have been developed when all the quantities are crisp values, but because of uncertainty in many cases the cost, supply and demand quantities are fuzzy in nature due to randomness and imprecision in the real unexpected situation.
