Gang Gang Dance is an experimental music group based in Manhattan, New York City, signed to the independent label The Social Registry. The group has become well known within the New York indie rock scene for its distinctive sound. Gang Gang Dance has played shows with such bands as Boredoms, Architecture in Helsinki, Sonic Youth, Spank Rock, Massive Attack, Animal Collective, Black Dice, TV on the Radio, and Battles. In August 2008 Gang Gang Dance conducted the Brooklyn chapter of 88 Boadrum. Their fourth album, Saint Dymphna, was released October 20, 2008, on The Social Registry in North America and on Warp Records in Europe and Australia.
