The driving force of achieving economic growth in a local economy like Iwo, is through a vibrant manufacturing sector, one that is able to cope with the dynamic challenges of an increasingly globalised world. This research work, examined the contributions of gari production to the economic growth of the community. Data were collected from 40 respondents constituting employers and employees of gari producing industries in Iwo community at various locations using the simple random sampling technique. Using structured questionnaire, data regarding quantity of gari produced (output), investment in gari production and education, cost of processing, amount of accruable revenue, savings and employment level were collected from the respondents. Gari industries should be established in Iwo community to encourage gari producers and investors to invest in gari production in order to increase output and increase its contribution to the economic growth of Iwo.
