Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

This book is the result of 50 years of scientific and practical activity in the field of gastroenterology. It also provides a critical analysis of the current understanding of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which was created about 40 years ago by manufacturers of diagnostic equipment, together with practitioners who do not have scientific training. The book provides scientific evidence that the interests of equipment manufacturers do not coincide with the interests of patients, as they support unscientific methods of research and treatment. This book opens new possibilities for the diagnosis and pathogenic treatment of GERD and will be useful not only for physicians, but also for patients.

I was a practicing pediatric surgeon and radiologist at Belarusian Center of Pediatric Surgery (Minsk) from 1970 till 1990. Since 1991, I have been working as a radiologist at the State Geriatric Center in Israel. All my research (130 articles) is dedicated to the study of the digestive tract motility in health and some pathological conditions.
