Gender and women in business and science

At present time, women are seen as not only mothers and wives but they are also seen in different ways. This process of transformation of the view on women is rather slow, it will take long time to make conditions, options and possibilities the same as men have in all aspects, fields and mainly in all parts of the world. And how it is here, in the Czech Republic, small country in the middle of Europe being a part of European Union since 2004? To be more precise, how women status is perceived in the business field in the Czech Republic and what is women s participation in science and research compared to the selected countries? This publication would try to find the answers to it. The aim of this publication is to analyses current status of Czech women in business. It consists of an analysis of gender statistics in several categories and comparison of women s status in science and research in the Czech Republic, USA and Russia.
