This is the first of this kind of study has been done in the context of India. The book adopts a new approach to analyse gender in the context of gender. It not only shows contextual impact over health is analysed, how it varies over different stages of life-course is also discussed. Biplab Dhak is Development Economist. He holds PhD in Development Studies from Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore. His area of expertise include health inequality, gender inequality, poverty, migration and livelihood issues. At present he is Assistant Professor in Economics at A N Sinha Institute of Social Studies, Patna.
