Details

Gender is one of today's most poignant issues. In the space of a few decades, the gender issue has become one of the most pressing democratic debates. It has also become an imperative not only for states, but also for international and African institutions and organizations. As far as Chad is concerned, this issue is less advanced. Relations between men and women are still unbalanced and marked by social inequalities and harsh social resistance, which can be explained by social representations linked to gender. Based on the results of our study, these have a negative impact on the socio-economic development of the commune of Koundoul. Koundoul's women are considered to be actors and partners of men in development, but are less involved in the socio-economic development process, which makes the locality's development problematic.
