Generation To Generation
Details
Today s Christian parents face a daunting task when they endeavor to pass their faith to their children. The task is growing more and more difficult as plank after plank of postmodern philosophy is set into the platform of Western culture. This work will explain the origins, development and saturation of postmodern philosophy in today s culture, along with encouraging parents to live out their Christian faith in a way which cuts through the ideologies that are undermining the most basic directions of Scripture to believing parents. This work will also provide a review of parenting literature and trace the shift in parenting philosophy from the early 20th century to the beginning of the 21st century. If you are interested in the rise of postmodern thought and its influence on modern culture as it relates to Christian parenting, you will benefit from this work and its concise review of the challenges that modern parents face when desiring to pass their faith and practice to postmodern children.
