Genetics and Periodontium

Studies of animals and humans support the concept that a large number of genes factor may be associated with periodontitis and clearly play a role in the predisposition and progression of periodontal diseases. It has been proven that genetic factors impair inflammatory and immune responses during periodontal diseases.This book is an attempt to focus on genetic influence on periodontal disease, genetic polymorphism in particular and how this field will help to improve patient treatment protocol.

I did my postgraduation in Periodontics and Implatology. Now I'm Associate Professor in CSMSS Dental College & Hospital and also running private Dental clinic. I have many publications in national and international journals. I have attended many national & international conferences. Also doing a lot of work on periodontal and Implant surgeries.
