Geography: Learning, Research, Practice and Contextualisation

This book arose from the need to understand a little more about some aspects of pedagogical practice involving the teaching of geography. In addition to bringing in various elements that today's society demands, such as the inclusion of new information and communication technologies in this subject, it also offers a possible proposal within the perspective of meaningful learning from Ausubel's point of view. Furthermore, it discusses some issues inherent to geography, analyses the importance of developing creative activities, and addresses research, reading and interpretation of local geography and teaching methodology focused on learning about geographical space.

Tereza Sueli Souza Eça nació en Ipiaú (Bahía). Es licenciada en Historia por la UESC (Bahía) y en Geografía por la UNIJUÍ (Rio Grande do Sul). Tiene un posgrado en Enseñanza de Historia y Geografía de Brasil por las Faculdades Integradas de Amparo. Enseñanza de Geografía por la FACE; Historia y Cultura Afro-Brasileña por la FINOM; Máster en Ciencias de la Educación: Innovación Pedagógica por la UMA (Portugal).
