Details

Germ cell aplasia is a type of azoospermia (total absence of spermatozoa in the ejaculate) in which the testicular seminiferous tubules are reduced in diameter contain only Sertoli cells and no other cells involved in spermatogenesis. Hormonal disturbances are also involved, therefore this study is aimed to assess for the first time the risk factors, hormonal ( FSH, LH, testosterone and prolactin levels in controls and patients, and compared them with normal reference values to study the hormonal profile of clinical types of germ cell aplasia ) and histopathological aspects of germ cell aplasia in Gaza strip, so it is important to give a detailed picture on the contributing risk factors to azoospermia in Gaza Strip which helps in future awareness of patients.
