Germany through Chinese Eyes
Details
Chinese people in Europe are groups rushing through
dreamy city centers, ( ) taking pictures of each
other all at the same spot, horking down their food
in cheap Chinese restaurants, and shopping like world
champions . Does Chinese travel behavior really
correspond to this prejudice? What are the needs and
interests of our guests from China? And do German
service providers fulfill their demands at all? The
book gives an insight into the current situation of
Chinese outbound tourism to Europe and explains its
historical background. The author describes Chinese
traveling habits, preferences, and typical
characteristics as well as the meaning of a journey
to Europe for Chinese travelers and the process of
choosing a destination. Based on this information,
she analyses the demands of Chinese voyagers and
gives examples of tourism service providers which
have successfully adapted to the Chinese taste. By
means of a SWOT analysis, she discusses the
competitiveness of Germany. Possible places of
interest for tourists from China are illustrated and
brought together to a suitable travel route according
to the newest trends of Chinese outbound travel. With
a preface by Wolfgang Georg Arlt.
