Ghana Gospel
Details
This book is the first monograph that examines gospel music in Ghana. Gospel music in Ghana combines elements of local traditions and global pop music. It plays an important role in the worship services of charismatic churches as well as in the everyday lives of Christian believers. In his ethnography, Carl investigates the performance and reception of gospel in a variety of contexts and demonstrates its significance in an age of digitization, economic liberalization, and cultural globalization.
