Giant Steps

GIANT STEPS builds solid platforms to turn people, young and old, into independent and determined thinkers and doers. Technique and style all have a purpose here. And disciplines of private thought and analysis are shaped to appeal to minds that still have heroes from Hollywood hit-man movies. To reach these students as well as independent learners it is necessary to speak with a distinct but careful voice. But to convince aspiring learners that they need to make major changes in themselves is a vast challenge. GIANT STEPS is therefore an irreverent book. And its brevity, also, can establish speedy increases in confidence to propel students at the middle or bottom to the top. So too is the attentiveness to individual action that my book encourages. GIANT STEPS is also written for a growing but still untouched audience. Many thousands of self-learners and homeschooler-families look to bookstores rather than universities for improvement and creativity in their lives. But each year, thousands of independent learners and homeschooled young people are sent into the world of higher education where their special talents and sensitivities are generally ignored.
