GIngival Esthetics

As esthetic demands in smile design continually rise, critical factors such as; dental midline, smile line, incisal embrasures, tooth position, width to length crown ratio, symmetry of contra lateral gingival margins, and gingival display need to be taken into consideration. The goal of gingival esthetics is to maintain normal healthy gingival appearance around teeth that must be restored. Achieving this goal requires that gingival health be optimized and trauma be minimized during fixed prosthodontic procedures . This book emphasizes the increasingly important role of pink esthetics in the overall treatment success, and therefore have to be monitored throughout therapy.
