Gingival Tissue Management and Impression Techniques

Various soft tissue retraction systems and impression techniques andthere clinical application were explained in this library dissertation on the basis of their advantages, disadvantages and accuracy etc.In this work, we concluded that a careful analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of current displacement techniques must be conducted before impression procedures. Each type of displacement appears to possess desirable characteristics. It is imperative to match positive characteristic to a particular challenge presented by each unique patient, clinical condition and specific tooth and there are many studies being conducted to develop more accurate techniques with various combinations of materials. But the technique that gives 100% accuracy is yet to be developed.
