Our society is facing global challenges that are threatening our planet and its population due to evolving conditions following the exponential growth of the population, urbanization, pollution, resources consumption and more parameters. To face the global challenges we need local answers based on global scale solutions, called Megaprojects, that we want to propose and describe in this book. Such Megaprojects, while generating hundreds of exponential organizations and disrupting technologies, if implemented, will lead most drivers to a condition of Singularity, meaning that their consequences, while fully positive, may be unforecastable. These range from territorial and urban planning transformation of all construction, energy generation from non-renewable to a totally renewable one. Other proposals refer to all new systems and product ecosystems, robotics, IT and standardization, a potential education Singularity, health care to eliminate disease, global security and ambitious projects, solar system development and interstellar travel, for space. If implemented, the incoming Singularities (technological, economical, social and educational) would totally change our planet.

Mr Gaviraghi has graduated Milan Polytechnic as an architect. He is active in international projects in aerospace, industrial, commercial & space, CEO of several multinational companies, college professor of Exponential Creativity in UFMT Brasil, author of SF books, non-fiction and over 50 papers on space, transportation & advanced technology.
