Global Trends and the Mining of the Future

The metallurgical mining industry has been subjected to complex problems of all kinds, such as variations in the price of metals, prevailing logistics, the recent war between Russia and Ukraine and COVID-19 sanitary conditions, in addition to considering the ore grade, the deepening of deposits, and so on.In the aforementioned context, global trends, industrial revolutions, mining of the future and proposals with prospective vision, is essentially the thread that has been carefully elaborated by the author, inviting the reader to study the potential paths to the development of the industry, which merits commitment to people and the environment to be intervened in a responsible manner, in addition to contemplating such dissimilar matters as space mining and the ocean floor, the exponential change of neuroscience and technological disruption.The path to development for Mining 4.0 will be based on the creation of new knowledge and the design and implementation of new competency profiles to lead and take on the important challenges of Mining 4.0.
