Gloria De Piero (born 21 December 1972) is a British Labour Party politician, journalist and presenter best known for her work with GMTV. In 2010, she was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ashfield. De Piero was born in Bradford, Yorkshire of Italian descent. She lived in modest surroundings, a terraced house, in the white working class area of south-west Bradford known as Wibsey. Bradford is a strongly Labour-voting area. She attended Marshfields Primary School in Little Horton then Priestman Middle School on Thornton Lane in Little Horton (which closed in 2000) until the age of 13 in 1986.
