The book is about the life and times of a political Kingmaker in Kwara State, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki, popularly known as 'Olooye' (meaning Chief) in the political circle. The book discusses his life as a medical doctor, a banker, a law-maker, Senate Leader and a champion of Northern hegemony in Nigeria. The book explains the sociopolitical psychology, tactics and strategies of the late political Godfather who was also the Waziri of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital. This work also examines the challenges to his political domination, which led to many crises and also evaluates the effects of the political crisis on democracy and good governance in the State. This book is a must read to political analysts and students of political science.

Comrade Abdul-Rahoof Bello is a University Lecturer and an activist, who has participated in many political and electoral processes in Nigeria and Kwara State in particular since 1979. He held many political party positions and has worked with many political leaders including Chief J.S. Olawoyin and Dr. Olusola Saraki. He quits politics in 2005.
