The biggest Island of the Greater Antilles is the Republic of Cuba (La República de Cuba). Socialism, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Revolution on the one hand; Old American Cars, Cigars, Music, Salsa dancing and the happiness of its residents on the other hand, are just some of many terms that people associate with Cuba nowadays. In the last two decades the island has been discovered again by tourists all over the world and has developed to one of the most popular Caribbean tourist destinations of the 21st century. But the history of Tourism development in Cuba starts long time ago. Already at the beginning of the 20th century this beautiful Caribbean Island had a major attraction on tourists. But how did the tourism industry develop throughout the century? In which way did the country's history influence the exploration of this great economic sector? How did the different governments and their widely varying ideas implement this source of economic income in their political system?...

Graduated at the Free University of Bolzano, Italy: Trilingual (German, Italian, English) Bachelor of Sciences in Economics & Management, Major in Tourism Management. It included a mandatory internship abroad, which she completed at a british travel agency specialized on vacations in Cuba and therefore lived four months in Havana.
