Grassroot Democracy and Women in Tripura

This work deals with the role of women at grassroot democracy with special reference to re-examine the concept of good Governance.Women are the new actors in a system of good Governance especially in rural areas. The constitution of India has resolved the reservation policy to ensure the participation of women at grass root democracy i.e. Panchayat level. The work reveals that reservation policy is not only the magic to strengthen the democracy.
