Green and Social Accounting in Sustainability Policy

The advent of sustainability brings with it the multiple interactions of all sectors of the economy and the environment due to the increasing severity of environmental problems and the growing awareness of the repercussions of these problems. While conventional national accounts take into account an analysis fundamentally based on economic growth, they reflect only the level of activity of the economy, disregarding issues related to the use of environmental assets traded during the process of transformation of goods and services from these activities.
