Grinding Inconel 718 with alumina wheel

This book is a report on the primary investigations carried out while surface grinding a well known Nickel based alloy, Inconel 718 with an alumina grinding wheel. Not much work has been carried out regarding grinding of Inconel 718. This report also highlights the use of a novel grinding fluid delivery system using an economic saline tube arrangement. Soap water and liquid carbon dioxide are used as grinding fluids/ coolants. Results point out the effectiveness of using a combination of liquid carbon dioxide and soap water delivered as a jet into the grinding zone.
