Groundwater recharge using connector well technique in Jun Junagadh

The excess spill over water flow of check dam was diverted to connector well through recharge filter. The subsurface flow from surrounding area of stream during stream flowing period was estimated by Darcy's law and the relationship between subsurface stream inflows to stream outflow (connector well recharge flow, excess flow at stream gauge and recharge flows from water harvesting structures) were correlated and relationship was established as in second order polynomial equation. Relationship between recharge head and recharge flow rate was found linear. Recharge under connector well recharge technique was estimated 40333.41 cum. The recharge cost under connector well recharge technique was estimated as 0.51 Rs per cum of groundwater recharge.
