Growth and Structure of Forest Sector

Himachal means, "The Land of Snowy Mountains". Himachal Pradesh is situated in western Himalayas. Present work is based on M.Phil Dissertation which have been completed in 2011. The aims study was to analyzing the growth and structure of forest sector in Himachal Pradesh. The forest sector in Himachal Pradesh, during the period 1981 to 2010 is attempted. The analysis of forestry is done at four points of time i.e. 1980, 1990, 2000, and 2010. Thirty years period is sufficient enough to reveal major changes taking place in forestry in Himachal Pradesh. However, some important information regarding revenue and expenditure on forestry was available for the year 1971 also, hence, revenue and expenditure analysis is made for the period 1971 to 2010.
