The present investigation entitled "Studies on growth, development and fruiting behaviour of phalsa (Grewia subinaequalis D.C.) fruit" was carried out during the year 2012-13. The studies comprised two experiments, first experiment conducted at Main Experiment Station, and second experiments was conducted at ambient temperature in P. G. Laboratory at the Department of Horticulture, and data were analyzed using RBD design for first experiment and CRD design for second experiment with three replications. Under first experiment flowering and fruiting behaviour of phalsa was studied and it was found that phalsa borne on the current season shoots, shoots length as well as number of leaves on shoots increased during flowering and fruiting. Under Northern Indian conditions phalsa flowering started from mid of March and completed at end of April. The middle of April was the peak flowering time whereas fruit setting took place between 1st week of April to 1st week of May and 2nd and 3rd weeks of April are the peak fruit setting periods.

Krishna Kumar Mishra was born in 1991 Koniya Bankat is a small village of district Gonda located at Uttar Pradesh, India. Village surrounded by agricultural lands in the state of Uttar Pradesh.At present, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Horticulture at NDUAT, Faizabad, U.P. India and SRF at ICAR-CISH Lucknow.
