Anemia is a public health problem that affects populations in both rich and poor countries. Poor health and nutritional status of the worker may reduce their productivity. Present study was to find out haemoglobin status and related food intake pattern among garments worker. A total of 106 garments worker from different garments. Most of the female subjects (77%) and only 17% male subjects were anemic .The proportion of anaemia among the female garment workers, 22.9% were non anaemic, 41.4% were mild anaemic, 30% were moderately anaemic and rest of other 5.7% were severely anaemic. According to 36 male garments workers 83.3% were non anaemic, 13.9% were mild anaemic, 2.8% were moderately anaemicThe study showed that the dietary intake pattern of the study subjects was not adequate. In the present study mean BMI of the garment workers was {(Kg/m2, mean ±SD), 20.59 2.96}. A more than half of the subjects (56%), 17% and 2% were belongs to normal group, overweight and obese group respectively. Do not play any significant role between education, income and anemia status. A significant correlation was found between BMI and Hb level (r = 0.23, p 0.02).
