Prof. Hattab has published more than 100 articles in academic dental and medical journals, chapters, and a monograph on thalassemia. In 2002, he received the International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Award for his work on children's oral health promotion. He is a member of IADR and the European Organization for Caries Research.
