Handoff In Heterogeneous Wireless Environment

This book presents handover decision support system in heterogeneous wireless network. Handover decision system is the mechanism or an event where a connection is passed from one base station to the another. In case of vertical handover the handover occurs between points of access supporting different network technologies. The correct "when" and "where" procedure is crucial issue to select the quality network so as to provide seamless wireless services anytime and anywhere. This book outlines vertical handover decision support system which optimize the performance in heterogeneous wireless environment by avoiding unnecessary handovers.
