Happiness and Welfare Economics

The social welfare and happiness refers to the degree in which desires and needs of people are being met. Happiness refers to a mental state of wellbeing; it expresses the positive feelings ranging from happiness to extreme satisfaction. It refers to overall characteristics of a social welfare where society is the stage and peoples are the actor. The best example of happiness indicator is smiley face of the individual. The Gross National Happiness is an assessment to design or an attempt to explain as an indicator to measure a quality of life or social and psychological progress. This book is associated with Social psychology which is the study of spatial distribution of social happiness and welfare. This book discusses the quality of environment and different measures of happiness as a partial reflection of the social well-being at micro-units. It focuses the different methods to measure the degree of happiness of the people in a society.
