Hate Crimes against the LGBTI Community

The LGBTI community as one of the most vulnerable groups suffering from increased risk within Mexican society due to the different gender identities and sexual preferences they express has caused a red alert in relation to the number of murders that have occurred due to discrimination against them. This is an issue that has been little researched and is often not mentioned, since there is a latent homophobia within Mexican society that does not allow this type of crime to be followed up, since homosexuality is seen as something "abnormal" or even as something "unnatural", as a result of the ideological, social and political structure that this sexual preference represents.
