Health and Wellness Tourism in the World

Health and wellness tourism is booming all over the world. The by-products covered by this segment of tourism are: acclimatisation, thalassotherapy, spa tourism, medical tourism, aesthetic tourism, assisted living residences, as well as accessible/inclusive tourism. Due to profound climate change, the ecological balance of the blue planet has worsened. In this book, the authors emphasise the profound interdependence between human health and well-being and the health of nature. The ethical perspective of health and wellness tourism is analysed, aiming for excellence in health procedures and the safety of users/tourists and residents, as well as tourism sustainability.
