Health care data management - Functional modelling approach

The proposed methodology to model healthcare data is based on the STEP methodology, SIZ data model and the RosettaNet framework. The methodology suggests that following steps should be used to model it. 1. Development of GRAI grid; 2. Development of Enterprise Activity Model; 3. Development of Process model; 4. Acquisition of Industry Wide Data Elements; 5. Development of Information Requirements; 6. Development of Information Diagram for each domain; 7. Architectural design of the data dictionary; 8. Development of organization specific schema; 9. Developing the data dictionary in xml and displaying different views to different stakeholders
