Health Care system

Health is generally a condition of a person's mind and body, usually free from injury, illness and pain.As WHO defines health as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely an absence of a disease.Health and disease are determined by many factors that interact in social, psychological and biological form.Considering all these the present study in Baliana village,Himachal Pradesh highlighting the health and nutrition of women and children in village.This study discusses the ethnomedical practices, medical practices and a detailed description of the specialist available in the village and also various health care systems present.It is clear from the present study that the Baliana represents a fine example of medical pluralism, i.e., the coexistence of different medical systems.
