Health Information Support for Urban Women

This book is an innovative attempt to examine the awareness and use levels of the women as regards health information support programs (Health Information products, resources, services, channels, and dissemination mechanisms) initiated by various agencies, their perception about health information support programs, their information source use behavior and constraints faced by women. This book also assesses the health information needs of urban women and identifies the existing health information dissemination mechanism.

Dr.Shobha Patil is presently working as UGC Post-Doctoral Fellow(PDF) in the Department of PG Studies & Research in Library and Inf. Science, KSWU,Vijayapura. She has been awarded PhD from KSWU,Vijayapura, under the guidance of Prof.P.G.Tadasad. She has published 40 articles. She is a recipient of ILA-AG Motiwale Award for Young Professionals-2012.
