Healthcare Acceptability Barriers and TB Diagnostic Delays
Details
"Georgia is one of the High Tuberculosis-burden countries where people are still suffering and dying every day because of this disease. During my professional carrier in Georgia, I have witnessed many deficiencies of healthcare system in empowering TB affected individuals to overcome stigma of Tuberculosis and to access diagnostic services. Influenced by this experience, I chose to work on Tuberculosis from the public health perspective while spending time in Berlin School of Public Health at Charite University Medicine in Berlin, Germany. Literature review, documented in this book tells a story of system deficiencies from several countries and uncovers some of the barriers that make health services less acceptable for those with medical needs." - Maia Barnabishvili
