Hearing Impairment

This book 'Hearing Impairment-Self Esteem, Academic Performance of Deaf Adolescents' is a collection of information regarding various issues related to self esteem, Academic Performance due to sensory deprivation and comparison with normal children. This research work had carried out in various schools and special schools at Andhra Pradesh during the period of 2013 & 2014. Book includes 5 chapters with references, it gives an insight about psychological make up of the Hearing Impaired children in the Indian Context, becomes imperative to guide their future education & further vocational training. Deaf children are showing low self esteem and poor scholastic performance than normal children. There is no correlation between scholastic performance and self esteem in deaf children and normal children.
