Heat transfer enhancement from a protruded surface using a cross-flow jet has been the central focus of this book. The role of a cross-flow jet for heat transfer augmentation has been investigated computationally using finite volume method. A comparative analysis for heat transfer enhancement by a cross-flow jet arrangement and a non cross-flow jet arrangement has been presented. Surface protrusions of different types have been deployed for heat transfer from a heated surface. Rigorous numerical computations have been carried out for heat transfer, pumping power analysis both for conducting and non conducting surface protrusions.

Autorentext

The first author is working as Assistant Professor in College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar, India. He did M. Tech. and Ph.D. Degrees in 2007 and 2015, respectively from IIT, Kharagpur. Electronics cooling, heat transfer,fluid mechanics, CFD of IRS devices, multi-phase flows including gas-solid are board area of his research areas.
