Details
Contaminants residues in biota are reflective of environmental quality. Today the ecosystem is rapidly changing, unfortunately in parallel with the increase in human activities. An ecosystem, consisting of live and inanimate items, each piece is related to each other at different grades, and each item is in harmony with itself and with other things. Natural life which based on various balances continues as long as the balance between living organism and environment can be maintained. For this reason, all living beings, including humans, need appropriate environments where they can maintain their lives on a regular basis. Heavy metal pollution and its effects are covered by lots of disciplines and the extent of this book is limited. In this contribution, we review the heavy metal their sources, definitions in the literature and effects of the organisms, and bioassessment of these pollution with organisms are expressed here.

È professoressa assistente presso la Narman Vocational School dell'Università Atatürk. Si è laureata in Biologia e specializzata in Zoologia. Come ecologista acquatica, ha studiato la tassonomia degli Hydrophilidae (Coleoptera) nella sua tesi di laurea magistrale e il biomonitoraggio dei metalli pesanti con gli Hydrophilidae nella sua tesi di dottorato.
