Heavy Metals Determination from Industrial Effluents

Industrial effluents comprise of organic compounds, inorganic compounds, oxygen demanding materials and heavy metals. These substances pose a high health risk to aquatic ecosystem hence theres need to develop a multidisciplinary and scientific approach on curbing this menace. In this study, wastewater samples were collected from the two industries in both the downstream part and upstream part. The samples were analysed in Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer after a wet digestion.
