Heavy metals level in wild edible part of plants

Plants are not perfectly selective only to essential nutrients. They have ability to accumulate considerable quantities of contaminants like heavy metals from the environment: soil, water or air. As the result, human being and animals uses such plants may accumulate significant quantities of contaminants in the various parts of their tissue systems. Because of the possible toxicity encountered from contaminants the consumers suffer by health problems. Generally human exposed to contaminant through food chain and incidental ingestion. Therefore, "If we worry about our care we must worry about the environment and substance we use."
