Details

This book features the most cutting-edge work from the world's leading laboratories in this field and provides practical methods for differentiating pluripotent stem cells into hematopoietic lineages in the blood system. Pluripotent stem cells have attracted major interest from a fast-growing and multidisciplinary community of researchers who are developing new techniques for the derivation and differentiation of these cells into specific cell lineages. These direct differentiation methods hold great promise for the translational applications of these cells. This book is an essential reference work for researchers at all levels in the fields of hematology and stem cell biology, as well as clinical practitioners in regenerative medicine.

Includes cutting-edge methods and protocols in blood cell differentiation Provides step-by-step detail essential for reproducible results Written by experts in hematology Includes supplementary material: sn.pub/extras

Autorentext
Tao Cheng is a professor and director of the State Key Laboratory of Experimental Hematology. He is also the vice president of Institute of Hematology and Blood Diseases Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Tianjin, China. He serves on the Editorial Boards of a number of well-known international journals, such as Leukemia, Experimental Hematology, and International Journal of Hematology. His research interests focus on hematology and stem cells. He has contributed enormously to our understanding of the cell cycle control of hematopoietic stem cells and has published more than 20 original research articles in top journals over the last 5 years.
