This book provides an in-depth exploration of the phenomenon of heritage crime in England and Wales. Drawing on a pastiche of empirical data comprised of qualitative testimony from police officers, victims of heritage crime, and heritage practitioners, it interrogates the following areas: i) the nature of heritage crime, ii) how is it conceptualized and operationalized within policing, iii) the victim of heritage crime and iv) opportunities for improved practice in this area.
