This book is presenting the details about the ANALGESIC, ANTI-INFLAMMATORY OINTMENT FORMULATION FROM HIBISCUS TILIACEUS AND HIBISCUS CANNABINUS LINN. From the literature survey it reveals that the plants were used traditionally for treating pain and inflammation. Also there is no any herbal formulation from these plant parts for analgesic anti-inflammatory activity. Keeping the focus on this aspect, the project was planned. This study was undertaken with an objective-To perform a pharmacognostic study of Hibiscus tiliaceus and Hibiscus cannabinus Linn. plant parts. To standardize the extracts of using different physico-chemical parameters. To develop and evaluate the ointment formulation from the extracts. To determine analytical parameters related to the ointment in order to assess the quality, purity and safety data.
