This book is originated by Master's Thesis of Author. It focuses to global comparison of high speed railways. The first studies on the creation of a high-speed railway network in Europe were initiated in 1985 by the Community of European Railways, formed by the EC countriesand the Swiss and Austrian Railways. The first proposals on this matter were presented to the community in 1989, and in the same year, at the request of the Council of Europe Ministers, a working group composed of representatives from the governments, industry, and railways of the countries began work on a master plan for European high-speed railways This book evaluates the improvements of this mode on EU and developed regions in the world.
