This book is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the L.M.Isaev Research Institute of Parasitology and the Samarkand School of Medical Parasitology. The popular science edition covers the problems of parasitic diseases and the history of their control in Uzbekistan. The authors consider the incidence of parasitic diseases in the world, CIS and Uzbekistan. The main stages of study and control of parasitic diseases in the republic are described. This edition gives a brief description of the results of research on epidemiology, biology, clinic, diagnosis and treatment of patients with parasitic diseases in the Republic of Uzbekistan and Samarkand region, in particular.
