HIV/AIDS in Asia

While national prevalence of HIV/AIDS is low across Asia, there are many population groups in many locations that are affected by the epidemic to a great extent. Who are exposed to and infected with the virus? What are their social characteristics? How is this epidemic interpreted in this region? What forces are shaping the epidemic? Why are policy responses choosy and variable? Taking a population perspective, a holistic analytical approach, this book examines these and other social and policy questions.
