HIV Infected/ Affected Mini Public Transport Drivers

In this book, it is generally accepted and well-documented that long distance public transport drivers have been and remain one of the key forces in the spread of HIV/AIDS. The role of such drivers in the transmission of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases is rooted in the lifestyle that comes with the profession, as well as the broader social and economic societal factors. This study is conducted on the HIV / AIDS infected mini public transport drivers in Greater Visakhapatnam. Their extra marital relationships, symptoms of the diseases, treatment and counseling services were elicited from the respondents. Further, the family support, attitude of the press and neighborhood is also probed.
